• You'll find plenty of hosting providers touting their 100% uptime guarantee and redundant network infrastructure. But do they mean it, really? In reality, many of them don't even actually own and operate a network infrastructure, relying on someone else's to deliver their services. When something goes wrong, they have little control- 100% uptime becomes just a wishful thinking.

  • We stand behind our products.

  • Fortunately, there are a number of reputable hosting providers that actually own, operate and stand behind their network infrastructure. TowardEX is one of them. We built our own hosting network infrastructure from ground-up with a mission: Customer Satisfaction. Our Non-Stop Network™ is built using telecom carrier-grade equipments and design methodologies that are specifically designed to meet and exceed hosting requirements of any customer in our facilities.

  • Our network's record of reliability speaks for itself.

  • We double up on everything to ensure survivability of network uptime in the event of an outage, then use legacy-free, state of the art technologies to improve quality and reduce costs. This is proven by our record of 100% uptime within the core infrastructure since 2006.

Identified by AS (Autonomous System) number 27552, the core of our Non-Stop Network™ is a non-blocking 10Gbps backbone that was designed from ground-up to be a robust, fault-tolerant, highly scalable network with unmatched performance. Our MPLS-enabled core, which is unique in nature for a hosting provider, enables advanced traffic engineering functionality, rapid fault restoration and multi-service transport capabilities for providing value-add services to enterprise customers.

Our network is constructed using only the highest quality gear in the industry from Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks. Cisco's proven 7600 Series routers and Catalyst 6500 Series switches are used to interconnect with outside networks and Tier-1 network providers. On the other hand, Juniper's high-performance MX Series routers and EX Series switches are used form the core of our backbone architecture, interconnecting all of our clients in a non-blocking, non-shared high speed configuration.

  • Low latency, high quality and high quantity.

  • Our network is designed specifically for customers that are running delay-sensitive applications, such as financial transactions, interactive video, VoIP and online gaming.

We selectively pick and choose Tier-1 network service providers that help reduce our latency to destinations around the internet. Unlike our competitors in the region, we maintain several direct interconnection arrangements (peering) with local ISPs that are based in New England and Massachusetts region to avoid shipping local regional traffic out to longer distances like New York and Chicago.

When it comes to quality of the bandwidth, TowardEX's Non-Stop Network™ provides unsurpassed performance for both simple and complex hosting requirements. We partner with multiple high-performance Tier-1 network service providers and have fully integrated them into our backbone using the BGP routing protocol. A failure or fault condition in any of these providers is easily and quickly suppressed by this redundant routing configuration.

Moreover, we also utilize Netflow and our own proprietary route-engineering technology to proactively monitor network traffic and measure routing efficiency of our customer traffic across the internet. Our system automatically adjusts network topology configuration in real-time to deliver fast and reliable network connectivity to our clients.

  • TowardEX Non-Stop Network™ Key Facts and Figures

    • 100% system availability within core infrastructure since year 2006 with no downtime affecting a client.
    • Low latency network infrastructure with robust peering infrastructure optimized for delay-sensitive applications such as financial transactions, interactive video, VoIP and online game servers.
    • Multiple Tier-1 Network Service Providers connected to our backbone for delivering optimized high-performance bandwidth.
    • Constructed using only high-quality equipments from Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks.
    • Diverse infrastructure from stem to stern. Every network provider is connected to our core infrastructure via separate fiber entry points, risers, routing equipments and even separate patch panels within the data center.
    • Purposefully under-utilized network infrastructure (below 40% at maximum allowed service load), making it resilient to even the largest internet routing issues.
    • Manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by experienced staff from our Network Traffic Control Center (NTC).
    • The first and the only hosting provider in New England to fully operate a dual-stacked native IPv4 + IPv6 network infrastructure. We're also the technical operator of OCCAID, a Tier-1 global IPv6 backbone founded to promote IPv6 access to carrier and educational sector industries, reaching three continents and over 100 cities worldwide.

  • We have been using TowardEX Managed IP Bandwidth service in our Boston Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) demonstration facility.

Our decision to use TowardEX was based upon positive discussions with their locally based team and a structure that allowed us to take advantage of redundant carrier interconnections and local Ethernet connections.

Over time the technical competency and transparency of their team has become the single largest asset of their service. When we see potential network problems the support team is a quick email or call away. We see what they see, there is no wondering what the issue might be.

TowardEX has worked closely and openly with BridgePort to ensure the reliability and stability of critical SS7 and VoIP traffic within our FMC solutions.
